What’s included in standard editing
Standard editing is designed for clean, premium e-commerce results and consistent product presentation.
Included:
-
Exposure and colour correction (consistent across the set)
-
White balance accuracy and product colour matching
-
Minor dust/smudge cleanup
-
Straightening and alignment (labels, packaging edges)
-
Background cleanup for clean white/seamless with natural shadows (as scoped)
-
Cropping consistency across SKUs
-
Export in web-ready and high-resolution formats
Not included (quoted when required):
-
Heavy reflection control on glossy/metallic products
-
Complex glass/transparent bottle work (liquid level, glare management)
-
Compositing multiple exposures
-
Label rebuilds or artwork replacement
-
Major surface repair (deep scratches, dents, torn packaging)
-
Artificial effects (steam, condensation, splashes)
Complexity Rule
Not all products take the same time to light and retouch. We classify SKUs as Standard or Complex to maintain consistent quality.
Complex SKUs often include:
-
Metallic or highly reflective packaging
-
Glass or transparent bottles
-
Liquids (level control, bubbles, glare)
-
High-gloss labels, foil stamping, emboss/deboss highlights
-
Dust/smudge-sensitive finishes requiring heavier cleanup
If SKUs are classified as Complex:
-
included SKU capacity may be reduced, and/or
-
a complexity add-on may apply, and/or
-
we quote a dedicated complex-production scope
You’ll know this before you approve the estimate.
Licensing
A commercial usage license is included for typical brand use:
-
Shopify / Amazon / website listings
-
Social media and email marketing
-
Digital ads and standard marketing materials
Extended usage (packaging, large-scale print, OOH, broadcast, etc.) and buyouts are available on request.
Copyright remains with the studio unless a buyout is purchased.
